South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Korbit launched a platform of non-exchangeable tokens (NFT) on Ethereum blockchain. According to the Korea Herald, the NFT marketplace was the first in the country.

"The local NFT market is at a developmental stage compared to the rest of the world, and the Korbit platform will help create synergies between the blockchain ecosystem and various segments, including art, games and visual media," said exchange head Oh Se-jin [Oh Se-jin].

Earlier, trading platform Binance announced the launch of its own NFT-marketplace, which will begin work on June 24.

Recall that the founder of cryptocurrency bank Galaxy Digital Mike Novogratz, entrepreneur and writer Gary Vaynerchuk, as well as the head of online retailer Fanatics Michael Rubin announced the creation of Candy Digital. The company will promote NFT on sports themes.

In late May, music platform OneOf, a non-interchangeable token platform, raised $63 million in a seed round of funding.
