European cryptocurrency broker Bitpanda has closed a Series C funding round, raising $263m.
The round was led by Valar Ventures, owned by PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel. It was joined by billionaire Alan Howard and REDO Ventures, as well as existing investors LeadBlock Partners and Jump Capital.
Bitpanda's valuation has risen to $4.1 billion, and the company will use the funds to expand internationally and scale its business.
Earlier, Bitpanda raised $52 million, which it used to expand its staff and develop new products.
Recall that in March 2021, the brokerage company closed a $170m funding round, which was also led by Valar Ventures.
