Brazilian investment bank BTG Pactual has announced the launch of a digital asset-oriented trading platform. In the first phase, customers will have access to bitcoin and Ethereum.

BTG Pactual plans to expand its list of cryptocurrencies, says The Rio Times, citing the bank's head of digital assets, Andre Portilo. The organisation attributed the decision to launch the new product to customer demand.
The platform will also feature informational and educational content on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
BTG Pactual is the largest investment bank in Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2019, the organisation and Dubai-based asset manager Dalma Capital said it would leverage Tezos' blockchain for STOs worth more than $1bn.
In April 2021, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini partnered with bitcoin fund BTG Pactual. The company will provide the structure with custodial and trading services.
Recall that in August, Roberto Campos Neto, president of the Central Bank of Brazil, spoke in favor of creating a regulatory framework for the crypto industry.
Earlier, Brazil became the second country in the world to register a bitcoin-ETF. Regulators in Canada were the first to approve such an investment product.
