US cinema chain AMC Theatres has added the ability to pay for gift cards using the meme-cryptocurrency Dogecoin. Adam Aron, head of the company, made the announcement.

AMC digital gift cards of up to $200 can be paid for with Dogecoin or other cryptocurrencies via BitPay wallet. The option is available on the AMC website, in the mobile app or directly in cinemas.
Earlier, Aron launched a poll on Twitter about adding support for Dogecoin. At the time of writing, more than 140,000 people have taken part in the poll, of which 68% supported the proposal.
Recall that in August, AMC announced ticket sales for bitcoin, and in September it promised to introduce support for Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.
