
Daily trading volume on NFT platform NBA Top Shot rose from $829,520 to $4.5 million overnight following the release of the new collection on October 14, according to CryptoSlam. The increase was more than 460%.
The Run it Back 05-06 collection celebrates the best moments of the 2005-06 season. The champion club then was the Miami Heat, with Dwayne Wade and Shaquille O'Neal playing for them.
The collectibles sell for $169 apiece and additionally contain four "archival set" moments from historic NBA events.
On October 17, the NBA Top Shot team reported on Twitter that Run it Back 05-06 was selling out at a rate of seven pieces per minute, with total sales approaching 10,000 units.

The maximum daily trading volume on the platform was recorded on 22 February, when the figure exceeded $45.7m.

Recall that in March, NBA Top Shot developer Dapper Labs raised $305 million in a round involving NBA legend Michael Jordan and Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant.
