
Spain's PortAventura is the first amusement park to integrate the ability to pay in the first cryptocurrency. The change will take effect from the new season in 2022.

According to a press release, bitcoin payments will be available to guests at six hotels with 2,300 rooms in the first phase.
The initiative is designed as part of the company's strategic innovation project.
"At PortAventura World, we are deeply immersed in the digitalisation process to improve our guests' experience and promote new ways of entertainment," said managing director David Garcia Blancas.
As a reminder, in July 2021, the upscale boutique hotel chain Pavilions Hotels & Resorts added the ability to pay for room reservations in bitcoin, Ethereum and 40 other cryptocurrencies.
