In June 2021, the media reported that Soros Fund Management had allowed clients to trade the first cryptocurrency and some other digital assets. The investment firm Bloomberg became aware of similar plans back in 2018.

Soros himself in early 2018 called the cryptocurrency a typical financial bubble, but predicted that it would not burst, unlike others.
