Thoma Bravo co-founder and managing partner Orlando Bravo has invested in bitcoin and expects the price to rise along with widespread adoption of the cryptocurrency. He revealed this during the CNBC Delivering Alpha conference.

In his view, the underlying blockchain technology of cryptocurrencies provides better use cases than software based on traditional databases.
Bravo believes that institutionalists have only just begun to enter the crypto market.
"Over the years, their number will increase significantly. I am optimistic," he added.
Forbes estimates Bravo's personal fortune at $6.3 billion, with assets under Thoma Bravo's management totaling $83 billion.
Recall that Thoma Bravo invested in bitcoin exchange FTX in a Series B funding round worth $900 million.
